About you Child Care I have been a licensed family child care provider since 2005. The home environment allows children to feel safe, comfortable and have more freedom to be a kid with a smaller number of children. Learning comes in many packages and I provide many opportunities to learn through directed and free play, stimulating toys, art time, science projects, helping in the kitchen, books, activity sheets, games and more. Children do not watch television or videos except for special occasions like birthdays, holidays or for an occasional learning purpose, which means less time for children in front of the TV and giving them more time to be active. I belong to Provider's Choice Food Program, which requires me to follow basic nutritional guidelines, regulates every meal I serve and requires me to attend a nutrition training course every year. I have also completed the Minnesota Child Care Credential Program.
